S.O.S. Pledge at PS971, Brooklyn, New York S.O.S. Pledge is an appropriation of The Pledge of Allegiance with a more green mission. This white Carrara Venatino Marble mural is 10 ft. high and 27 ft 9 in. wide. It is etched in with text that is painted gold. This artwork will engage and encourage young student to be a green steward when they attend school and walk by the lobby everyday. Understanding what we can do and change in our own live, even our action might be small, but our collective efforts and impact will be big. The school is a new 379-seat early childhood center which serves children in pre-K through second grade is also part of The Green Schools Alliance.
